Representative (BDR) for core accounts is a high activity, high
touch, hunter responsible for driving net new customer acquisition
within an assigned territory. This role focuses on in person
prospecting, uncovering industrial customer needs, and opening
doors with companies not currently buying from BlackHawk
Industrial. The BDR generates early-stage opportunities, builds
initial relationships, and secures first engagements before
transitioning new accounts to the Account Management team for
long-term growth and retention. Key Responsibilities Meet or exceed
sales targets Maintain robust sales pipeline and recorded in the
CRM to assure sales goals are attained Prospect and close new
industrial customers through in-person visits, cold calls,
referrals, and structured territory planning, using BlackHawk’s
value proposition. Build prospect confidence in BlackHawk portfolio
of products at all levels of leadership within Core customer or
prospect. Identify customer needs quickly related to productivity,
safety, cost reduction, and supply chain efficiency Persuasively
present BlackHawk Industrial’s full portfolio of products and
value-added solutions, including MRO, manufacturing, tooling,
fasteners, safety, load containment, inventory management, and
onsite services Partner with suppliers and manufacturer
representatives to identify prospects, coordinate joint calls, and
expand market share Attend industry events, trade shows, and local
networking functions to increase market awareness and strengthen
BlackHawk Industrial’s presence Collaborate with Account Managers
and Inside Sales to ensure effective handoff and coordinated
account coverage Support customer onboarding and transition, by
working with pricing, inside sales, and operations teams Maintain
accurate CRM records; activity, opportunity, and territory data
Professionally represent BlackHawk Industrial at customer
facilities and industry events Qualifications Required: 2 years of
experience in industrial-related field Proven success prospecting,
with strong hunting experience and developing new business in a
multi-state territory Strong communication, organization, and
relationship-building skills Highly skilled in qualifying,
discovery and closing techniques Ability to work independently and
manage a field-based schedule Valid driver’s license with ability
to travel 50% within a multi-state territory Experience using CRM
systems and mobile sales tools Qualifications Preferred: Experience
in industrial distribution, manufacturing, MRO, or
construction-related sales Knowledge of industrial products such as
cutting tools, fasteners, abrasives, safety, fluid power, load
containment, or automation Familiarity with value-added services
such as VMI, tool management, or safety programs Established
supplier or manufacturer relationships within the territory
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : No supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent;
bachelor's degree preferred CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
None required WORK ENVIRONMENT: Employee is regularly required to
speak and hear English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger,
handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and
arms. Employees are required to use computers and other equipment.
Employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Specific
vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly
focus vision. PPE REQUIRED: Eye protection, ear protection, and as
required by the customer, steel-toed shoes, and head protection.
