Job Title: Sales Engineer Reports to: Director of Sales and
Marketing Type: Full Time / Salary Location : Noblesville, IN
POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY A Sales Engineer is the primary
technical resource for the field sales force. Sales Engineers are
responsible for actively driving and managing the technology
evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with
the sales team as a key technical advisor and product advocate for
our products.The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate
technology and product positioning to both business and technical
users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned
accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all
stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain
strong relationships throughout the sales cycle. Finally, the Sales
Engineer must generate sales and increase profitability for
Universal Blower Pac's water treatment plant sales department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Research, qualify, bid, and close
project sales directly to customers or through a network of
independent manufacturer representatives. Develop and execute a
prospecting plan focused on consultant engineering firms,
municipalities, and representatives to grow bookings, market share,
and close ratio. Manage and improve representative and OEM network
to grow market share and capture new revenue streams. Work with
customers and representatives to design and support their projects
with engineering specifications, drawings, technical support,
proposals, and sales calls. Responsible for representing the
product to customers and at field events such as conferences,
seminars, etc. Critical Focus of the Position: Success of this
position is immediately relevant to Universal Blower Pac through
increased revenue, profit, and market share. Strong water treatment
plant sales and industrial sales allow for the success and growth
of the entire company. Requirements to Qualify for Position: Ideal
candidate must be self-motivated. Comfortable in the dynamic
atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding
customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able
to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs,
and when submitting reports. Organized and analytical, able to
eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in
Engineering. High mechanical aptitude. Proficiency in Microsoft
Windows and Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn
new and complex computer data system applications. Ability to
multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products
and multiple levels of attributes within the functions of this
position. Ability to remain focused and productive each day though
tasks may be repetitive and the work environment moderately noisy.
Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and analytical
skills; applies appropriate communication techniques when
responding to customers, particularly in stressful or sensitive
situations. Must be able to work in and contribute to a team
environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Reasoning
Ability: Must have the ability to listen, comprehend, identify and
define potential and/or current issues of concern, ascertain
information and data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and
offer solutions. Must be able to use sound business judgment and
appropriately triage or elevate matters that warrant executive
management intervention. The Sales Engineer shall use all available
data, information and tools to attempt to resolve issues as they
