Summary of Position The Supervisor of Facilities position performs
and supervises maintenance work for the Curium facilities in
Noblesville, Indiana. This position understands and coordinates the
needs of various departments including IT, Health Physics,
Manufacturing, Quality, and business groups in the context of
facilities management. This role develops, gains approval, and
implements new systems and processes. This position plays a
critical role in the planning, analysis, and management of new
projects including budgeting, timeline management, and coordination
of general contractors and workers. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
7:00am - 4:00pm. Hours can be adjusted. Essential Functions
- Manages a team of maintenance personnel to operate, maintain,
and repair (except when specific maintenance and repairs are
performed by contractors) all electrical, mechanical, HVAC,
equipment as outlined by leadership.
- Maintains current knowledge of facility maintenance
requirements and standards including Building Management System
(BMS).
- Coordinates and tracks progress of capital projects, such as
equipment installations and space rearrangement.
- Tracks facilities utilization, utilities, and conditions in
support of manufacturing and office operations.
- Maintains Preventative Maintenance (PM) Schedule and
coordinates with work groups the timing of PMs to reduce impact of
downtime.
- Provides prompt and courteous response to requests, provides
updates on project status and other activities to management.
- Maintain ethical, professional, and courteous relations with
contractors and fellow employees.
- Ensure compliance with all City, State and Federal safety and
environmental laws, codes, standards and regulations.
- Order, stock and inventory parts and supplies as directed by
the Site Director.
- Participates in the training and development of Facilities
Technician.
- Complete equipment logs, perform visual inspections of all
building equipment to ensure normal operation.
- Respond to multiple requests from multiple sources and
prioritize accordingly to alleviate immediate problems. Report
changing priorities back to Supervisor.
- Respond to, prioritize, and complete assigned work per work
orders. Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Facilities, Construction or
other related discipline preferred. Two year technical degree with
six or more years of work experience will be considered in lieu of
a Bachelor Degree. Eight or more years of relevant work experience
will be considered in lieu of no degree.
- Facilities management experience required, supervisory
experience preferred.
- Ability to negotiate price and terms with service providers and
vendors.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel
and Outlook. Experience with AutoCAD and SAP is preferred, as is
managing work orders in CMMS software.
- Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and
mechanical control devices and BAS systems.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools, i.e., socket sets, wrenches,
pliers, screwdrivers, saws and hammers, etc.
- Knowledge of power tools (pneumatic, electric, or engine drive)
drill motors, saws, grinder, impact wrenches, and drain cleaner,
etc.
- Ability to read and use shop manuals and drawings, read gas,
water, and electric utility meters, and the ability to use basic
measuring and recording equipment such as temperature indicators,
pressure gauges, and voltage testers.
- Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, handheld
communication device and have knowledge of Maximo or similar CMMS
systems.
- Great communication ability, both verbal and written.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with good driving
record.
- Possess competent knowledge on the methods, tools, and
equipment used in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of
HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment and systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and or schematics to aid in
troubleshooting analysis. Working Conditions:
- Must handle average to heavy weight materials by hand. Material
handling devices (e.g., hand truck, fork truck, and conveyors) are
used when possible, but use of proper lifting and movement
techniques is necessary to prevent injury.
- Must be able to physically negotiate stairs and evacuation
ladders with or without accommodation, to wear and operate safety
equipment, enter vessels, inspect equipment, drive forklifts.
- Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) as deemed necessary by EH&S, leadership team, corporate,
or safety guidelines.
- Willingness to work in a team based environment.
- Close attention to detail required.
- May be required to stand or sit for long periods of time while
performing duties. Must be able to stand 8+ hours a day.
- Willingness to work in plant producing radioactive materials
and requiring all employees to participate in safety programs
designed to minimize potential and/or actual exposure levels.
- Responsibilities also include the ability to lift heavy objects
(up to 70 pounds), kneeling, crouching, twisting the upper body,
walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reach with or
without accommodation.
- Must possess good hand-eye coordination.
