Digital Media Marketing Specialist FLSA Status: Full-time,
Non-Exempt Reports to: Marketing and Communications Director
Location: Southeast and Northwest Branches POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining digital
content that supports the YMCA of Monroe County marketing
initiatives. Oversee the website, email, video, blog, and app
content, as well as the social media accounts for three locations
that support Y programs, promotions, and communication pieces for
members, donors, and the Monroe County community. This position
offers the opportunity to help influence the direction of the team.
Responsibilities may evolve as we collaborate to identify the most
impactful ways this role can support our goals. ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS: Manage all digital media communications through daily
updates and timely responses to comments or questions. Develop and
implement goals for the various applications through website,
email, social media, blog, video, app, and other design materials
that are consistent with the Y’s communication and marketing goals.
Manage and oversee the YMCA of Monroe County website. Responsible
for consistent copy and layout of the YMCA of Monroe County
website. Ensure site is maintained in compliance with the visual
and brand standards established by the Y-USA guidelines. Create
navigational structure of the website and hierarchy of information,
and continually strive to improve processes for the website that
will enhance user experience. Implement SEO best practices in order
to optimize website for search engines, using Google Analytics to
track effectiveness. Create video content from conception to
finalization. Plan, film, and edit each project. Create and manage
email and social media marketing campaigns and calendar.
Responsible for building and communicating YMCA brand in a clear
and effective manner and within the parameters of a cause-driven
organization. Write, edit, and update materials for all digital
platforms, targeting optimized language and structure for each
specific platform. Manage all social media platforms with relevant
content and seek other opportunities to increase reach to
appropriate audiences. Ensure communications are accurate, clear,
and complete while maintaining a consistent tone and Y voice.
Provide statistics for monthly metrics on all digital platforms.
Maintain promotional content on TV screens at both branches. Assist
in the conception of new marketing campaigns, plans, and tactics.
Assist Marketing Department with marketing plans for special
events. Work closely with planning stages of events for marketing
support and day-of tasks as needed. Collaborate with our program,
development, and membership teams to coordinate digital outreach
for each department. Use Adobe InDesign to update and maintain copy
of print marketing materials, member communication pieces, and
templates as needed including program fliers, internal branch
marketing pieces, and promotions. QUALIFICATIONS : Belief in the
YMCA and its mission. Bachelor’s degree in communications,
journalism, English, marketing, public relations, media, or related
field preferred. Experience with website design and content
management. Proficiency with video production and familiarity with
Adobe Premiere Pro is preferred. Strong skills in designing and
implementing social media strategies including the use of Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok. Proficiency with
Microsoft applications as well as experience in Adobe Creative
Suite programs, especially Premiere Pro and InDesign. Experience
with Constant Contact or other email marketing platforms is
preferred. Certification in Google AdWords and Google Analytics 4
or complete certification requirements within six months of start
date. Familiar with The Chicago Manual of Style . Excellent
writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Must be able to complete
projects by a deadline. Motivated to bring Y marketing to the next
level of effectiveness to help achieve the Y mission more fully.
Must be able to work both independently as well as in a team
setting. Able to creatively brainstorm and interpret new ideas.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the
ability to interact positively with staff and top community leaders
Work as a member of the marketing team, be supportive, assist
others when help is needed, and attend department meetings.
