Job Description:

OverviewThe Cloud Technical Architect is responsible for the design and build of solutions that meet system requirements and align to organizational initiatives. Sets technology direction and provides oversight for technical decisions within assigned areas of focus. This position is within the IT Infrastructure team but will have organizational wide influence.Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, build, test, and implement IT systems and technology within assigned domain.
  • Conduct technology or product exploration, prototypes, and pilots that are aligned with overall IT direction to deliver innovative IT solutions.
  • Evaluate and select technology that best fit business and project needs.
  • Develop technology and product standards and define overall platform structures.
  • Coordinate and explore ways to scale, automate, and increase functionality of services.
  • Work across multi-disciplined teams and subject matter experts to ensure a well-integrated set of solutions adhere to enterprise standards.
  • Conduct analysis of industry best practices, emerging technology, and market offerings to proactively advance capabilities.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate potential technical risks per strategy or project.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point within the team.
  • Serve as a direct contact point for customers and suppliers for input on direction.
  • Provide decision making, leadership, and coaching or mentoring to the extended team.
  • Demonstrate expert level of communication skills and lead in a highly collaborative and independent environment.
  • Represent service offerings to stakeholders with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Create and manage technology strategies, roadmaps, and architectural artifacts.
  • Possess an expert level of Multi-Cloud Environments: MS-Azure (required) and AWS (a plus).
  • Possess an expert level of Public Cloud Services: IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
  • Possess an expert level of Public Cloud Governance: Data Security, Application Security, Network Security and overall Cloud Compliance.
  • Possess an expert level of Public Cloud Operations: Containers, Cloud-native, CI/CD Pipelines, APIs, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Ansible, FinOps, Cloud Monitoring, etc.
  • Possess real-life examples where you architected and deployed cloud infrastructure, security measures to protect services and data, and monitoring to maintain and optimize service and overall cloud performance.
  • General Windows and/or Linux (RedHat) Administration is a plus.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) is a plus.
