Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of relevant experience required. License: Must have a current nursing license prior to start date. Certifications: ACLS and BCLS required. Must-Have: - Telemetry and IV start skills required. - Previous charge experience is preferred. - Experience with Cerner charting system is necessary. Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. This position involves caring for a variety of medical patients, including those with COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, and chest pain. You will also manage a small case load of surgical patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:6. Every other weekend will be required. There will be a diverse range of interdisciplinary support services available. Candidates must be willing to float within the facility as needed. The ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias is essential. Candidates should be prepared to care for adult and geriatric patient populations. The daily census for the unit is approximately 38 patients.
