The Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical patient care is able to multi-task and enjoys the challenge of developing and implementing care plans for a wide range of patient diagnoses. This RN practices a holistic approach which requires continuous learning to lead the team of providers, clinicians and support staff in caring out exceptional patient care. The RN on in Med Surg is also a great communicator who spends time ensuring patients and their care givers are educated and understand post discharge instructions. Registered Nurse (RN) Job Functions:

• Assess, develop and implement a nursing of plan of care appropriate to each patient to help them meet their healthcare goals.
• Partner with the care delivery team in clinical and support areas to deliver safe, customer focused, quality care.
• Practice your nursing knowledge and skills in the administration of medication, implementing nursing protocols and procedures, and genuinely connecting with each patient in their care and healing journey.
• Ensure your patients and their caregiver receive and understand education and discharge instructions to help them stay healthy outside the hospital setting.Riverview Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer located in Noblesville, Westfield and throughout Hamilton County, Indiana.Education Requirements:
  • Minimum: Associate in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited schoolExperience Requirements:
    • Minimum: None
    • Preferred: One (1) year of experience in a hospital environment.License / Certification Requirements:
      • Minimum: Registered Nurse license valid in the state of Indiana and Basic Life Safety certification from the American Heart Association by date of hire into the position.
      • Preferred: Certification in Med-Surg, Orthopedics or Chemotherapy, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Telemetry certification
