Position Summary The Vice President, Behavioral Health Services will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Aspire's "whole health" care delivery system and continuum, with specific emphasis on transdisciplinary practice and services. This position will be responsible for clinical oversight and coordination of assigned clinical service lines while advancing and supporting Aspire's mission, vision, values and strategic priorities. This position will consistently communicate with Senior Leadership to ensure the highest quality of client care. This position will effectively collaborate with VP, FQHC, Medical Services and Director, Strategic Initiatives to ensure whole health care delivery of service. Scope of responsibility is CMHC behavioral health services (outpatient, home and community based, school based,) Crisis Department services, substance use treatment continuum, and oversight of the growth and development of behavioral health services within the FQHC.

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a directly-related human service field from an accredited university required; Doctorate in Psychology highly preferred--
  • Five (5) years related work experience in community mental health required; experience in Indiana Community Mental Health Center preferred
  • At least (3) years in an advanced leadership capacity required--
  • Understanding of and experience with medical/behavioral health integration preferred Licensure
    • Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the State of Indiana required

      • Must have strong interpersonal communication, leadership, problem solving, and teambuilding skills
      • Must have the ability to communicate effectively via phone or in person
      • Must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills and be flexible
      • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
      • Must possess/maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
      • Must have reliable transportation to oversee programming and/or attend trainings and/or meetings-- Employment is contingent on background checks as required by Aspire's policies which may include: Drug Test, Criminal History, Driving History Record, Sex Offender Registry Search, State Central Registry Check, Employment Verification, Education Verification, and Professional References For those employees who have direct patient contact, it is recommended by the CDC that a record of immunizations be documented and retained in a health personnel file. Written documentation (vaccine record) or titres (blood testing) may be needed to determine immunization status.
