a entry-level Environmental Engineer to join our established,
multi-disciplinary team in our Indianapolis, IN office. This is an
entry-level opportunity for a motivated individual looking for

Your responsibilities may include the following: Perform fieldwork
in all weather conditions which may include drilling oversight for
soil sampling and/or groundwater well installation, groundwater
sampling, excavation oversight, operation and maintenance of
remediation systems, and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys
Coordination, management, reduction, and evaluation of field and
analytical data as a key part in the preparation of technical
deliverables Assist Project Managers (PMs) and Assistant PMs (APMs)
with planning environmental investigation and remediation tasks
Exhibit ownership of delegated tasks, including responsibility for
coordination and delivery of on-schedule and on-budget tasks Office
work may include task coordination, technical reports, data
compilation, analysis, and interpretation, cost estimates, health &
safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file review,
permitting activities, proposal writing, project specifications &
strategy development, scheduling, and cost estimating.
Environmental remediation design tasks, including soil and
groundwater remedial system and in-situ technology treatment design
and assessment Interpretation and evaluation of field and
analytical data to prepare engineering designs, permit
applications, and construction-related documents This is a
full-time entry-level position that requires attention to detail,
strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication
skills, and willingness to perform field work. This position is
expected to support various projects from environmental
investigation through design, permitting and remediation. The
successful candidate will be working alongside and supporting task
managers, technical experts, and project managers on multiple
projects. Responsibilities will include a combination of field and
office related tasks and will include travel and field work. During
some periods, field work is expected to be as much as 60 to 80
percent of the candidate’s time with some travel requiring hotel
stays. Field work may be performed at project sites with
environmental media (e.g., soil, sediment, groundwater, surface
water, etc.) that has been impacted with hazardous substances
and/or hazardous wastes. Fieldwork is a key aspect of this
position, which will offer you an opportunity to be trained to
oversee drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well
installation, groundwater sampling, subcontractor oversight,
operation and maintenance of remediation systems, vapor
intrusion/soil gas surveys, among other tasks. Additionally,
Arcadis supports many of our client’s needs when unforeseen
incidents occur, such as train derailments, pipeline releases, etc.
An aspect of this role is supporting our National emergency
response teams to ensure rapid protection of human health and the
environment. This work is completed under the direction of trained
incident responders and may require unanticipated travel and work
outside standard business hours. Field work will require regional
business travel for up to 1-2 days per week on average. A few times
per year, travel will be required within the U.S. for up to two
weeks at a time. Estimated travel is up to 75% during the first two
years, with travel reduced with career growth. By the third year,
travel for field work is typically 50%. Travel expenses are
reimbursable. Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil,
Chemical, or closely related field) Preferred Qualifications
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and appropriate annual refresher
certifications Power BI experience 1 year experience

- $79,023. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several
factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity,
