– Operations Support (GMP) Duration: 12 – 24 months Location:
Indianapolis, IN – onsite and then hybrid – prefer local candidates
$45.00 - $60.00 per hour I am looking for a Manufacturing Engineer
or Process Engineer with 3-6 years of experience. Ideally someone
that has come from a GMP-regulated manufacturing industry, that has
strong operations support capability. This role is floor-based,
highly cross-functional, and focused on process optimization,
execution support, and systems-driven improvements across a live
GMP environment. This is not an SME role— I am targeting someone
with a strong engineering foundation, GMP exposure, and the
attitude to learn, adapt, and support whatever the operation needs.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES Provide daily manufacturing
engineering support on the production floor within a GMP / cGMP
environment Track, analyze, improve, and document manufacturing and
operational processes Support process optimization initiatives
focused on efficiency, compliance, and throughput Partner
cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Validation,
Maintenance, and Automation Assist with manufacturing systems and
workflows (MES exposure a plus) Support deviations, change
controls, and continuous improvement efforts Execute task-oriented
engineering work to keep production moving compliantly Learn and
support facility-wide systems and processes as needed
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing,
Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or similar) Experience in a GMP /
Pharma / cGMP manufacturing environment Prior manufacturing or
process engineering experience supporting operations Comfort
working on the floor, in a fast-paced production setting Strong
process mindset: tracking, improving, documenting, executing
Collaborative, task-oriented, and hands-on approach MES exposure
(Werum PAS-X, Syncade, Opcenter, etc.) Facility-wide systems
exposure (manufacturing systems, workflows, data tracking)
Experience supporting regulated change control or continuous
improvement efforts Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys operations
support, not desk-only engineering Strong learning mindset—willing
to jump in and do what it takes Comfortable being hands-on and
visible in GMP production areas Process-driven, organized, and
