Position Summary & Responsibilities The Supervisor, Metrology
oversees equipment calibration, maintenance, and compliance while
ensuring proper documentation and audit readiness. This role
manages training, performance reviews, and process improvements
while leading investigations and closing CAPA and change control
actions. Additionally, they provide technical support, monitor
equipment performance, and coordinate team activities to maintain
operational efficiency. Equipment & Maintenance • Facilitate
routine calibration and maintenance of equipment, including lab
instruments and physical measurement devices, following procedures
and schedules. • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of
equipment, systems, and facilities. • Monitor equipment performance
and troubleshoot issues. • Use calibration and maintenance
management systems (e.g., CMMS, SAP) to track inventory, work
orders, and materials. • Maintain certification records and ensure
equipment remains in compliance. • Report calibration metrics to
management and stakeholders. Training & Development • Train
employees on systems, equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Monitor employee training to ensure compliance. • Provide
leadership, development, and mentorship for others. • Guide
employees on SOPs, work instructions, and other control documents.
• Perform annual performance reviews of direct reports.
Documentation & Compliance • Ensure proper documentation practices
during job activities and maintenance processes. • Maintain
accurate and complete records (e.g., logbooks, quality records,
calibration reports). • Read, understand, and comply with SOPs,
cGMP, and safety protocols. • Report and investigate process
deviations, observations, and compliance concerns. • Write, review,
and revise SOPs for equipment, processes, and maintenance. •
Establish visual tracking and tools for audit readiness and trend
analysis. • Close out CAPA, change control actions, and deviations
in a timely manner. Process Improvement & Investigation • Lead and
coordinate investigations, studies, and process improvement
activities. • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective
actions. • Identify and implement temporary and permanent fixes for
issues. • Analyze data trends to identify causes and propose
improvements. • Assist with executing validation protocols for
processes, equipment, and cleaning. Leadership & Coordination •
Assign work tasks and coordinate activities of support groups. •
Communicate priorities and progress to teams and management. •
Facilitate communication between management and non-management. •
Lead team meetings, committees, and cross-functional teams. • Serve
as a subject matter expert (SME) on systems, processes, and
compliance matters. Safety & Compliance Oversight • Conduct safety
inspections and ensure adherence to safety regulations. •
Participate in spill control, hazardous materials handling, and
first aid. • Serve as SME for safety initiatives (e.g., process
safety, industry programs). • Oversee departmental safety
inspections and ensure compliance resolutions. Operational Support
• Gather, organize, and communicate operational information. •
Perform physical inspections of the site and equipment. •
Coordinate with external vendors for off-site calibrations,
ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and timely completion
of services. • Provide "on-call" and off-shift support as needed. •
Assess and implement improvements in productivity, quality, and
cost. • Ensure employees have the necessary tools to perform their
jobs effectively Minimum Qualifications • Considerable experience
in a regulated or cGMP environment • May require state
certification or licensure for specific roles • Experience with
calibration, electronics, or related area. Preferred Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or certification in
related area. • Previous experience leading a team of technicians
or skilled trade professionals • Prior experience with CMMS

this position is $70,000.00 - $107,500.00 per year. Actual base pay
is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited
to, the candidate’s geographical location, relevant experience,
