Great vertical mobility and career growth potential!Job Details*If you have Property and/or Casualty Insurance industry and NetSuite experience, please highlight in the instant interview questions!Currently, we are looking for an experienced Controller or Assistant Controller for this incredible growth opportunity! This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all financial operations as well as driving financial initiatives by closely interacting with the EVP of Finance, COO/CFO, CEO, and the senior leadership team. The Controller must have strong financial management skills and will oversee and develop a team of accountants.Responsibilities

  • Lead the operations of the finance department including A/R, A/P, cash flows and the monthly reconciliation process.
  • Primary interface with company relationships including banking, CPA, legal and insurance.
  • Hire, develop, and supervise accounting staff.
  • Produce and present monthly and quarterly financial reports; forecasting for senior management to aid in decision-making and help improve operational efficiency in support of continued growth.
  • Prepare budgets through establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, and performance variance analysis.
  • Responsible for accurate financial results while ensuring costs allocation to the appropriate business unit.
  • Assess and streamline current accounting operations; leading improvement through innovative process development and streamlining.
  • Prepare and provide reports for worker's compensation audits and ensure that 1099 contracts and COIs are received, and coverage is adequate.
  • Lead financial analysis of M&A operations.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements and tax filings.
  • Ensure accuracy of payroll, expenses, and revenue through detail review; Daily/Weekly interfacing with Payroll/HR department; developing and maintaining expense reimbursement policy and Finance department SOPs.
  • Occasional travel

      • B.S. in Accounting or Finance
      • Experience in the Property and/or Casualty Insurance Space
      • Experience with NetSuite (Implementation Preferred)
      • CPA or MBA preferred
      • 3-5 years of experience in GAAP accounting principles
      • 3-5 years of controller or high-level accounting experience
      • 3-5 years of management experience
